| So, I AM in an altered state of mind. so what? | | |
| Is there anybody out there?
A song that I have really loved since I first heard it, somewhere around 1993-1994. Good old high school times!!
BREATHE
Pink Floyd
Breathe, breathe in the air Don't be afraid to care Leave but don't leave me Look around, choose your own ground
/ Em - A - / / / /
Long you'll live and high you'll fly Smiles you'll give and tears you'll cry And all you touch and all you see Is all your life will ever be
/ C - / Bm - / F - / G F /
Run, rabbit run Dig that hole, forget the sun And when at last the work is done Don't sit down it's time to dig another one
Long you'll live and high you'll fly But only if you ride the tide And balanced on the biggest wave You race towards an early grave
[Breathe - Reprise]
Home, home again I like to be here when I can When I come in cold and tired It's good to warm my bones beside the fire
Far away across the field The tolling of the iron bell Calls the faithful to their knees To hear the softly spoken magic spells
... / G FG F# - /
Now we're talking!!! What's happening to all those musicians out there that actually PLAY the instruments and have something to say with their music? I am tired of these pseudo-bands and pseudo-musicians/artists who can't play shit, are scared of making a minimum attempt at experimentation, repeat the same idiotic stereotyped lyrics, and have not the slightest clue about voice leading, instrumental writing, chord progressions, modulations, or any other fundamental principle of music making. All they have is their exceedingly polished public personas, their mean rich kid's attitude with the world, and the obsession the mass media has with them. "And as much as I try, I can't seem to describe. Like a most improbable dream" (hehe, if u know where this comes from, erm.. well, i don't know what... you're most probably one of the 'good ones'). I mean, everybody knows its fake, everybody knows they are not honest in their expressions, everybody knows its mass brainwash, but everybody goes for it. People actually fall for these clowns. People actually choose to live in a disfunctional society, in a soap opera world, in fear of change and knowledge, in a reality of short term solutions. No wonder its politicians who rule the fates of peoples and countries. We have really become comfortably numb...

| 'An eye for an eye and the world will be left blind' -Mahatma Gandhi
It saddens me so much to see the things that happen in this world, sometimes I feel I won't be able to take it anymore. Maids tortured, civilians beheaded in religious wars, prisoners tortured, girls raped by their own father and family, just open any newpaper and pick your poison... How many centuries will it take? how many people must die and suffer?
Blowin' in the wind. By Bob Dylan
How many roads must a man walk down Before you call him a man? Yes, ’n’ how many seas must a white dove sail Before she sleeps in the sand? Yes, ’n’ how many times must the cannon balls fly Before they’re forever banned? The answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind, The answer is blowin’ in the wind.
How many times must a man look up Before he can see the sky? Yes, ’n’ how many ears must one man have Before he can hear people cry? Yes, ’n’ how many deaths will it take till he knows That too many people have died? The answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind, The answer is blowin’ in the wind.
How many years can a mountain exist Before it’s washed to the sea? Yes, ’n’ how many years can some people exist Before they’re allowed to be free? Yes, ’n’ how many times can a man turn his head, Pretending he just doesn’t see? The answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind, The answer is blowin’ in the wind. | | |
